DirectV Now is official. AT&T has introduced a new way to watch TV that is available to everyone. No credit score or contacts are necessary, so you can start your subscription anytime and cancel anytime as well. This is a huge deal for cord-cutters. I was never a fan of cable services and I have always used streaming apps on my Apple TV. If you get DirecTV Now for a minimum of three months, you’ll receive the latest model of the Apple TV. Customers can opt for an Amazon Fire TV Stick with Alexa Voice Remote included with 1 month pre-paid of any package. Want to try it for free? You can, with the 7-day trial.
The service will be available this coming Wednesday and will compete with other big companies like PlayStation Vue, YouTube, Netflix and Hulu. DirecTV Now will be available on Apple TV, iOS devices, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast, PC and Mac. Roku owners will have to wait until next year to get the service on their devices. The basic package will cost you $35/month. Here is the full list with all the options:
- Live a Little – $35 / month (60+ channels)
- Just Right – $50 / month (80+ channels)
- Go Big – $60 / month (100+ channels)
- Gotta Have it – $70 / month (120+ channels)
Fans of HBO and Cinemax can add these channels for just $5 each per month in addition to the selected base programming package.
Will you try it? I WILL, for sure!
